April 2017 – The Railways of Devon and Cornwall Around the Early 1960s by Michael Clemens

A very interested audience listens intently to Michael Clemens talking about his passion for trains, his research, his numerous records, photos and books he holds. He also shared some interesting stories, one of which about the stream train which was going from Plymouth to Newton Abbot which, over loaded, started to slip. He would never have expected to have in front of him the train driver himself who explained what happened! Everybody enjoyed too Michèle’s Breton cake and elder flower drink.
